| Case (L×W×H) | 40 × 30 × 30 cm |
| Pallet | US GMA — 48 × 40 in (121.92 × 101.6 cm) |
| TI (cases/layer) | 9 |
| HI (layers) | 5 |
| Cases per pallet | 45 |
| Load height | 150 cm (max 152 cm) |
TI HI Calculator
TI (cases per layer) × HI (layers high) for your case size on standard pallets — the numbers item-setup forms and ASNs ask for. Inputs stay in the URL — bookmark your case.

L × W × H, case kept upright.
If your limit includes the pallet, subtract the pallet base height first. This calculation does not check weight.
Try a common case:
TI × HI
9 × 5= 45 cases/pallet
// US GMA
TI = best block fit on deck = 9
HI = 152 ÷ 30 = 5 → 45 cases

Next: check weight and order quantity
Carry your case dimensions and pallet type into the pallet calculator, then enter case weight and order quantity. That calculator uses the selected pallet’s preset height; recheck any custom height limit.
Check weight and pallets neededWorked example: 40 cases on a EUR pallet
For upright 40 × 30 × 30 cm cases on a 120 × 80 cm deck: rotate the footprint to fit 4 × 2 = 8 cases per layer. With 150 cm of cargo height, HI = floor(150 / 30) = 5, giving 8 × 5 = 40 cases. Add the actual pallet base height to get total loaded height. Weight, compression and stability still need checking.

TI (tier) — cases per layer
How many case footprints fit on the pallet deck in one layer. Found by trying the case both ways round and keeping the better block arrangement. Interlocking patterns can bind the load better but are set at build time, not on the item master.
HI (high) — layers on the pallet
Usable load height ÷ case height, rounded down. The cap comes from your racking, trailer door or the retailer routing guide — whichever is lowest.
TI × HI = cases per pallet
The number the WMS uses for slotting and replenishment, receiving uses to count, and transport uses to predict height and weight. Get it wrong on the item setup and every downstream count is wrong.
